What do you think?

she is scammer if… (from scam-me-blog)

July 17, 2009

HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOU ARE ABOUT TO BE SCAMMED???
Beware she is scammer if -
* They immediately want to get off the website and into YAHOO or MSN chat
This is especially true for paid social network sites like match.com, they use hacked credit cards to get into these sites, they know the true owner of the credit cards will terminate it anytime soon so they want you on yahoo or msn chat where they can continue communication with you, to tell you their lies and steal from you.
* They want to view your webcam but will NEVER come on web cam.
This is because they use pictures they have swiped from the internet to make up their profiles. So that beautiful woman or drop dead handsome man is actually a another person! They give all kinds excuses for not being able to come online, the real reason is because they are not the people in the photos! This is the major way to identify a scammer, ask them to come on web cam, if the person is really who they claim to be they will do their best for you to see them, if they don’t then you know you are probably dealing with a scammer.
* They fall in ‘love with you’ or ‘trust’ you after just a short while.
They claim that love, fate, destiny or God has brought both of together and that you guys were meant to be together. They swear their undying love and they dO this just after two three conversations with you!!! They keep filling you with sweet words, poems, etc and before you know it you are hooked on their lies. They usually hunt on websites where people looking to get hooked up. They hope to get you in love TO MAKE IT EASIER TO STEAL FROM YOU.
* The immediately start to tell you something sad that has happened to them.
If the scammer is a woman or using a woman’s profile (sometime you think you are chatting with a woman but it is actually a guy on the other side) they immediately seek your pity and start to fill you with stories of how bad life has treated them, even though they barely know you! They make you believe you are going to rescue them and may ask you to send them some money so that they can escape to you, their true love. We all love a good fairy tale don’t we?
* They immediately want to send you money or expensive gifts!
They actually don’t send you money or that expensive gift. They have already set up fake bank websites and fake courier services on the internet. When they send you money they give you a link to the fake bank site and see if the money they sent you has been deposited you check and wala! you name is there to receive a some amount of money, now they got yoU where they want you! The ‘bank’ now asks you to pay some bank charges so that the money can be transferred to your account, the only thing is that the money never comes and the ‘bank’ keeps asking you more money over and over again.

Anastasia about an international scam

June 22, 2009

So today is June, 22. My name is the same – Anastasia.
This time I want to write about international scam.

What is it – the international scam? First of all, it’s something between some countries. It means that people from different countries participate in this action. What is the scam? Scam is the fraud, underhand action , dishonest action , cheating, speculation, shady deal and etc.

So the  international scam is when the person (or organization) from one country cheats the another one from another country.

There are some sites in the internet that write about international scam and advice how to avoid it.

Let me name some of them: www.scamwatch.gov.au

http://www.scamletters.com/

http://antifraudintl.org/

http://www.fraudweek.com/

http://www.datingscam.net/

and so on…

More then the video about Russian scam received 144 000 views for a year. It’s very popular videoon Youtube.

Another one – SCAM ALERT about PaintballBidWars.com – 30,000 views for a month.

Example of of the shortchanging scam (it can be international too) is in the next video –

But when people say about Russian part in the international dating usually them means – scam in the dating. It’s as well reliable as my name is Anastasia.

Read about it in my next post.

My favorite movie

June 15, 2009

In my childhood my favorite hero in movies was Anastasia, the beautiful Russian princess. I was fond of this story and dreamed about my own romantic story… And when I was 20 I sent my photos to the one of dating sites to find my dream…

Below I paste the video “At the beginning”  from YouTube

What is Dating/Romance Scam?

June 15, 2009

A scam is usually something that deprives you of money or opportunity. Scammers use the Internet in a number of ways to promote scams.

  • promoting fraud through email
  • promoting pyramid schemes via websites
  • unexpected advertising materials which are displayed when searching the Internet

It’s definition from www.netalert.gov.au

Wikipedia says that

“A romance scam is a confidence trick involving feigned romantic intentions towards a victim, gaining their affection, and then using that goodwill to commit fraud. Fraudulent acts may involve access to the victims’ money, bank accounts, credit cards, passports, e-mail accounts, and/or national identificatiob numbers or by getting the victims to commit financial fraud on their behalf”.

Usially Scammers post profiles on dating websites to fish for victims. Upon finding victims scammers lure them to more private means of communication to allow for fraud to occur.

Who I am )

June 15, 2009

Hello, my name is Anastasia.
I want to begin my own blog about international scam.
Why I am doing it? It’s simple.

I am ex-Russian bride who tried to find my match in the USA. No, I didn’t find my destiny abroad, but I have  experience and know a lot about it.

And first of all I want to say all RUSSIAN BRIDES are NOT SCAMMERS! Scam is only exception to the rule.

I sincerely wish all American men trying to find Russian bride to be successful in it. And if I can help anybody with my advices I will be happy!
